Diploma in Digital Marketing
Course Synopsis:
Digital marketing is the use of internet and digital-based technologies to promote and sell goods and services. The Diploma in Digital Marketing is designed for learners who wish to acquire basic knowledge and skills in digital marketing. Learners will learn how to use channels such as internet, website, social media, search engines and mobile devices to reach prospective consumers.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand and apply the principles of marketing and consumer behaviour on digital marketing.
- Understand fundamentals of digital marketing and its various channels to create integrated digital marketing campaigns.
- Understand and apply effective social media techniques to create a strong brand to communicate with their target audience.
- Understand and manage E-Commerce operations, marketing and fulfilment. On E-commerce websites and social commerce livestreaming events.
- Understand and effectively use popular paid online marketing platforms to generate traffic and leads for business conversion.
- Understand and deploy search engine optimization as an effective strategy for digital marketing.
Modules:
Module: PMKT001 Title: Principles of Marketing
The aim of this module is to provide learners with the basics of marketing and consumer behaviour. Learners will learn to identify the 4Ps of marketing and how marketing is applied to improve sales.
Module: IDMC002 Title: WSQ Integrated Digital Marketing Campaign
The aim of this module is to provide learners with an overview of the digital marketing and the pillars and parts of digital marketing. Learners will learn to identify the various digital marketing platforms and how to put them together for an integrated marketing operation plan.
Module: SOMB003 Title: WSQ Social Media Branding
This module will equip learners with the knowledge of Branding, Marketing and Public Relations, and skills to brand on online social media. This module will provide learners with the importance of branding and public relations and how to use social media as a communication tool.
Module: ESOC004 Title: WSQ E-commerce & Social Commerce
The aim of this module is to equip learners with the knowledge of E-commerce marketing and fulfilment. Learners will be taught how to deploy E-commerce website and run social commerce livestreaming events.
Module: POLM005 Title: WSQ Paid Online Marketing
The aim of this module is to equip learners with the knowledge of Online Advertising and how to deploy landing pages and run online advertising. Learners will be equipped with the skills to run paid online marketing campaigns on popular online marketing networks.
Module: SEOS006 Title: WSQ Search Engine Optimisation for Sales
The aim of this module is to equip learners with basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation technology and how to deploy Search Engine Optimised website. Learners will be equipped with skills to apply Search Engine Optimisation to a website to improve traffic for their business.
Module: DAGA007 Title: WSQ Digital Analytics with Google Analytics
The aim of this module is to equip learners with basic knowledge of new and emerging trends, techniques and technologies in market research and customer data analytics, with Google Analytics. Learners will be equipped with skills to collect, interpret and present relevant data for their online touchpoints and make informed business decisions from the collected data.
Module: PROJ008 Title: Project
A capstone project whereby learners will undertake hands-on work on all topics related to digital marketing and produce an individual report and portfolio. Learners will showcase what they have learned from all modules in the project, which will also serve as their personal portfolio for the digital marketing techniques they have learned.

Assessment Method: | Students will be assessed by a variety of assignments and examinations including individual coursework, assignments and digital portfolio presentations. |
Graduation Criteria: | Students who have successfully completed the course by passing every module will be awarded the Diploma in Digital Marketing by ACETEK College. |
