Higher Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain

Course Synopsis:

The Higher Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain prepares students with advanced operational knowledge and practical skills required to support modern logistics and supply chain activities across various industries. The programme focuses on the movement of goods, warehouse operations, procurement processes, transportation coordination, and global distribution networks.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of logistics systems used in today’s industry, including e-commerce fulfilment operations, warehouse technologies, and digital logistics platforms. The course also introduces the role of automation, data systems, and emerging technologies in improving supply chain efficiency and operational visibility.

Through applied learning and industry exposure, students will develop competencies in logistics coordination, inventory planning, procurement activities, and distribution operations.

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be able to:

  • Analyse transportation options and coordinate freight operations to support efficient movement of goods within logistics networks.
  • Apply warehouse operational procedures and inventory control systems to manage storage, handling, and distribution of goods.
  • Apply procurement processes and supplier coordination practices to support efficient purchasing and supply continuity.
  • Explain global logistics processes and distribution networks used in international trade and cross-border supply chains.
  • Describe e-commerce logistics operations and apply order fulfilment processes used in online retail supply chains.
  • Identify digital logistics systems and basic AI applications used to support logistics planning, tracking, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting through an industrial attachment, gaining practical experience and industry exposure.
